The G-PKS PRO parabolic microphone is a professional parabolic microphone for long range listening of speech as well as human voice conversations.

All the microphone components have been manufactured according to the highest quality standards in the industry and the parabolic microphone system design has been specifically taylored to suit human voice listening, monitoring and recording purposes: parabolic microphone electronics are specifically gauged to deliver the highest possible sensitivity when listening to human voice frequencies.

System comes complete with a full suite of accessories, including a dedicated digital voice recording monitoring and listening system, allowing both real time monitoring and recording.

A DETAILED DESCRIPTION FOR THE TEST OVER A 200mt/yd RANGE IS PROVIDED AS FOLLOWS

All recordings have been obtained from a test situation where the person holding the parabolic microphone (A) listens over a distance to a person speaking (B) always on a straight line and without physical obstacles standing in the way of the listening path.There are however acoustic interference sources standing in the way of the listening path.
The G-PKS PRO parabolic directional microphone must be aimed at the sound source (the mouth of the person speaking in this case) in order to be able to deliver the best performance results.
A female target voice two hundred meters away from the parabolic directional microphone says: "One, two, three, four, five, test! This is the new Spectradome G-PKS PRO parabolic microphone recording me at the distance of two hundred meters while speaking with a normal tone of voice at medium (high) microphone gain".
The provided recording file has been recorded at 44.1Khz sampling frequency (audio CD quality) with a 24bit sampling and the system has been set to high-gain mode, where our special embedded electronics aim to achieve the longest possible range for speech capture performance and clarity, at the same time dropping the majority of the filtering for the sake of a longer operating range: this is once again the G-PKS PRO microphone itself doing all the job, directly on the field.
Nevertheless, speech is loud and clearly intelligible even if at least two sound interference sources are actually present during the recording as follows:
1) machinery sounds from a nearby railway;
2) a runner runs along the whole listening path, in the direction of the listening post, thus deliverying constant acoustic interference (i.e.: both the breathing and the steps of the runner are clearly audible throughout the whole recording).
During the whole recording, the parabolic microphone operator is moving (this recording has been obtained without using a tripod) while trying to keep the best speech capture position, something which becomes increasingly difficult as long as the listening range increases.
The recording file did not undergo any digital enhancing and has been taken straight from the G-PKS PRO electronics.
