FAQ - netguns
1. Am I allowed to (conceal-)carry a net gun with me wherever I go?
It depends on the laws in your country.
A net gun intrinsically posseses no potentials to delivery any harm, on the contrary, it has been designed and conceived to minimize harm.
Since it is not considered to be a weapon, (concealed) carry in public places is legal in Switzerland.br> Please ascertain laws and regulations in your country accordingly.
2. Do you ship to locations outside Switzerland?
Yes, we do. We ship worldwide.
3. Do your netguns stay effective under bad weather?
Yes, absolutely. br> Our netguns stay effective under the rain, snow and even wind, provided you are not in the middle of a windstorm!
4. Is a net gun effective against animals to prevent, for instance, from being attacked by stray dogs or wild animals?
Yes, it is. As long as the size of the attacking animal is smaller than the surface of the shooting net, a net gun offers very high protection against attacks by stray dogs or wild animals.
5. Is a net gun dangerous during operation?
It is not. Our net guns are manufactured according to the most stringent quality controls and if properly used as instructed, you will be perfectly safe when deploying them.
The shooting charge consists of a compressed gas which is absolutely non-explosive at the same time having absolutely no gun powder as its main components.
6. Is a net gun really effective?
It is. A net gun is among the most effective, non-harmful self-defence tools available on the market today.
Immediately upon shooting the net spreads out wide and there is no possible way it can harm your assailant, at the same time however, it prevents your armed assailand to move quickly and effectively, giving you the time you need to get away from the threat.
7. Is a netgun effective against armed assailants?
As shown by our videos, a netgun is extremely effective against armed assailants as long as they do not carry any firearm.
If it is a knife, sword, wooden stick, baseball or hockey bat, the netgun effectively prevents your assailant from continuing to use his weapon effectively against you.
8. Is it easy to reload a spent net/rope cartridge? How long is that going to take me?
It is relatively easy. This procedure is only possible for the featured rechargeable netgun/rope gun model(s).
First of all, you will have to recover and untangle the net/rope a little after shooting. Then, you will have to use the provided tools and follow the detailed step-by-step procedure which is available on your netgun/rope gun manual.
Overall reload time ranges from ten to thirty minutes, depending on your expertise as well as on whether you have a friend to help you out with reload procedures or not.
9. We are a company/business offering security stewards for events as well as private/public security services: how can we benefit from your products?
If you are a company/business offering security stewards for events as well as private/public security services, the smartest thing you can do is to provide your personnel with our netguns.
By doing so, your will enable your personnel to deal with some of the most unexpected and dangerous threats to (event) security, such as an armed assailant or some drunk guests entering a fight after going berserk.
Besides, it is empirically demonstrated that whenever at least two security stewards sequentially shoot a human target each with a single netgun featuring restraing rope, chances for the target to continue to move are virtually non-existent.
10. What are chances to effectively immobilize/subdue an attacker by deploying a net gun?
From high to very high, also depending on a number of collateral factors.
As a general rule of thumb, if you correctly aim the net gun and shoot it to your assailant in a way that the net properly wraps around him, he will still be able to move, however, the more your assailant moves, the more the net will tend to tangle up. Besides, some of our netgun models feature a restraint rope which stays attached to the net even after shooting: by pulling the restraing rope after the net has hit its target, you will be able to add a "wrapping effect" to the natural "tangling effect" of the net...in a case like that it is almost impossible for an attacker to escape from immobilization.
11. What is the minimal/minimum ideal shooting distance?
Depending on the model:
long-range models: at least 8ft/2 meters for rope guns and 10ft/2.5 meters for netguns
short-range models/models with rope restraint: at least 6ft/1.5 meters
below the above minimal/minimum ideal shooting distances, the net might not either deploy properly or wrap around your target properly: this may be not true in absolute terms, because proper deployment/target wrapping not only depends on range but also on target size.
12. Why am I supposed to have the gas cartridges shipped separately?
Because, as long as shipment takes place by air, compressed gas cartridges must be shipped with special handling and not all forwarders offer this kind of shipping service. The amount of special handling shipping charges is proportionally higher if you are buying a small quantity, therefore, our recommendation to all of our international customers is to purchase gas cartridges packs, instead of a few single units.
